Principal - Team Leader
Steve Keene
Steve works with WBA staff to prepare designs, estimates, and contracts. “I love solving the client’s problem, working hard so our clients are happy with our design and comfortable with the budget. When a contract is signed, we know we did a good job, and the project can move forward with our productions team.” Steve takes pride seeing all of WBA’s completed builds around town. Casual encounters with customers outside the build (a handshake, a thank you, a smile) that show they are thrilled with the final product and experience make his day.
Steve, a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology, has two young children and treasures family time. He and his wife make it a priority to have dinner together every night. They also enjoy lakeside camping and hikes on vacation, where he can relax and be buddies with his son. Steve also loves working on his house (“a non-stop construction site”). Having completed two 2 major renovations, he appreciates what WBA’s guys in the field do and the challenges homeowners face. Little known fact: Steve is very good at yard games, (washer toss, corn hole, horseshoes, can jam). “I’m terrible at sports but If it’s a game where you stand still and throw something, you won’t beat me!”

Sarah Blake
Sarah meets with clients through the planning and design phase of projects and continues to work closely with clients through the completion of the project. “A lot of times people come to us with a problem they need us to solve. Our ability to do that is what I like most. For example, maybe a homeowner must live on the first floor because they can’t climb stairs anymore. We can help. It’s nice to be able to do that for them.
Sarah is married with three children under age 10. She enjoys spending time with her kids, running, and reading in her spare time. She loves that her in-laws share their property. “When my husband comes home from work, the girls run to Grandma’s house for snacks. It makes everything a little easier.” In college on a trip coordinated by an architecture professor, she traveled to Italy & Greece, where her husband proposed to her. She is proud to have worked at WBA since 2016 and always tries to be very positive despite being busy. “My mentality is to always look on the bright side.”
Designer / Estimator / Scheduler & Kitchen / Bath / Cabinet Specialist
Glenn LaPointe
Glenn came to WBA with 20 years’ experience owning his own business, Knot Just Kitchens. At WBA, Glenn meets with clients and reviews plans, with a focus on his strengths, kitchens and bathrooms. He really enjoys seeing a project come full circle, the transformation from start to finish. He likes that “no two kitchens or projects are alike.”
Glenn and his large, blended family of two children, two stepchildren and two dogs. Along with golf and riding motorcycles, his favorite spare-time activity is boating, including kayaks, motorboats, and anything water related. After mooring a boat locally on Webster Lake, his family now vacations at Lake George. Glenn’s secret power is that he really likes to connect with people. “I get along with everyone. A smile goes a long way.”

Jaclyn Casaceli
Jaclyn is responsible for meeting with clients, collecting information about what they want, creating the design, estimating the job, and facilitating the contract meeting. Showing people what their current homes can become is exciting to her. “I love construction because it’s so tangible. It impacts everyone’s day-to-day lives, and the outcome can be a beautiful product.”
Jaclyn is close with her parents and sister and shares her home with her dog. In free time, she likes to crochet, everything from easy baby blankets to complicated sweaters. “My grandmother was always crocheting or quilting…. It calms and relaxes me.” After spending freshman year in college studying fashion design in Florence, Italy, Jaclyn keeps traveling back to Italy and thinks Sicily is particularly beautiful. Little known fact: Jaclyn’s favorite food is dumplings.
Designer/Estimator/Scheduler
Kyle Kinz
In addition to his designer/estimator role, Kyle has also been learning and taking over scheduling from semi-retired company founder Doug Porter. Kyle has a master’s degree in architecture from Wentworth and experience in commercial and residential building in a planning role. He brings experience problem solving and collaboration to WBA.
In his first year, Kyle has appreciated WBA’s combination of professionalism and flexibility. “Each individual’s experiences of how to do things are welcome here, but there’s also a known system that works so we don’t have to constantly try to reinvent the wheel,” he says. “There’s a process for everything here.”
Outside of work, Kyle enjoys time with his wife and two-year-old. He’s a “sports guy,” having played baseball in school and still participates in several softball leagues. At home, he has a dog, a cat and several 50-gallon freshwater aquariums with 15 to 20 different species of fish. “I originally wanted to be a marine biologist,” he says.
Fun Fact: “I still have my first job, which I started when I was 15. I’m 27 now.” Every Saturday morning, Kyle coaches soccer for two and three year olds, including his son. “It’s fun and not super rigorous, more like playing games. I’m at a point now in life where I’m doing it just because I enjoy it.”
Designer/Estimator
Christopher Owens
Chris has worked in the building trades for over 25 years before coming to WBA. “I started years ago as a designer for a national log home provider in the northeast.” Another past role was working for a fire sprinkler contractor, where he got to work on a high profile renovation of a 19th century Methodist church in Saratoga. “It was definitely a challenge, especially the bell tower,” he recalls.
“I like to see things come to fruition and meet customers’ expectations and goals,” he says of his work at WBA. “I enjoy the process but it’s satisfying to see the final results.”
Originally from Glens Falls, NY, Chris moved to CT to be closer to his daughter and her family in Waterford. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his grandson, plays golf and is a motorcycle enthusiast.
Fun Fact: Chris owns an Italian motorcycle made by a company called Moto Guzzi, which has been building bikes for over 100 years. “The engine design is very similar to a Harley, but it’s not a Harley. I’m not a Harley guy,” he says.
Assistant Designer/Estimator
Sydney Guari
“It was always my dream to work at WBA while I was in college,” says Sydney. She grew up in the area and got her bachelor’s degree at New England Tech in interior design in 2021. She worked at Northeast Flooring in Putnam while in college and then for the Town of Killingly as an admin for the building official and fire marshal.
“I like talking to the clients and getting the details of their project, what they want their new space to look like,” she says of her work at WBA. “I like to see their excitement about how we’re going to do that for them.” She would love to help plan a full house from start to finish and maybe even design her own home some day.
Sydney lives in an apartment on a multigenerational family property on a local lake with her fur babies Maggie, the bulldog, and Romeo the cat. She loves paddleboarding, swimming and walks around the lake. She also enjoys following Boston sports (Celtics, Red Sox, Patriots), reading and watching psychologically oriented documentaries.
Fun Fact: “I’m trying to do more things by myself,” says Sydney. “I want to someday go on a full vacation by myself. Traveling alone, you don’t have to worry about anybody else.”
