Plumbing and HVAC Superintendent

Jeff Duncan

Jeff enjoys working in the field and the hands-on tasks of plumbing, heating, generators, and AC. “Every day is different. I really like the challenge of figuring things out. For example, service calls, you just don’t know what you’ll run into.”

Jeff has two children, one has graduated from college and is working in Boston, and another is still in college. “I work a lot, but I like to fish with my son on our neighbor’s pond.” He also tries to spend time with his wife, who likes to travel, on day trips to Maine, Boston, Mystic, Newport, etc. “Maine is special to us. We used to go to the coast around Ogunquit a lot before we had kids.” Fun fact: “When I was younger, I loved black cars. I had a lot, such as a Corvette convertible when I was 19 years old. I wish I kept at least one.”

Licensed Plumber

Kolton Dehler

Kolton goes on service calls to correct issues like basement leaks, installs Mitsubishi mini-splits, and much more. He likes problem solving—for customers. On one recent call, he assisted a single, older woman with no heat on a cold autumn day. “I was able to get her heat back on and help her. That’s the most satisfactory part of my job.”

Kolton enjoys freshwater fishing in his kayak. He catches bass, trout, and likes fly fishing as well. His prize keeper was a 9.5-pound rainbow trout. He says Gorham, NH, a quiet town near Mount Washington, where he camps annually with his family, is a perfect place to fish, with rivers everywhere. Kolton’s favorite food is pizza (thin crust!). He also loves heavy metal music, target shooting, and hunting. He says people tell him he’s a good shot, but in his mind there’s always room for improvement.

Already a licensed plumber in Connecticut, Kolton is also currently serving as an HVAC apprentice.

Plumbing/HVAC Apprentice

Shawn Lebel

With over a decade of experience in the construction industry, Shawn joined WBA as a plumbing/hvac apprentice after spending years as a lead carpenter building homes from the ground up. He made the switch to WBA to pursue a long-standing goal: earning his plumbing license and expanding his skill set in a hands-on, problem-solving field. “WBA gave me a chance to finally go after something I’ve always wanted to do,” he said.

Though he’s no stranger to light plumbing, Shawn saw WBA’s apprenticeship program as the perfect opportunity to transition into a more sustainable and rewarding trade. He enjoys that plumbing presents new challenges every day. He values the opportunity to make a real difference on service calls. He recalls helping a client who was told by another contractor they needed a full HVAC system. “We fixed the problem with a $2 fuse. Helping people when they’re without heat or don’t understand what’s wrong—that’s the best part of the job.”

Outside of work, Shawn is a dedicated family man who spends most of his free time camping, kayaking, and four-wheeling with his three kids and two dogs. “My favorite place in the world is the White Mountains. That’s my peace.”

Fun fact: Shawn is an accomplished dart player, with multiple league championships under his belt—a passion and talent he’s enjoying sharing with his son who is showing promise in the game.
